Southern Research provides consultation for and development of comprehensive approaches to water and wastewater treatment for remediating problematic constituents contained within industrial effluents. Our goal is to develop environmentally and economically sound solutions for treating problematic constituents in waters or wastewaters that can be reused or discharged into a local waterway.
The Southern Research water and wastewater treatment team has specialized training in the field of environmental toxicology as well as expertise in methods for total inorganic analyses and specification of specific elements. Our team has proven success in remediating problematic constituents from various waste streams, including: arsenic, mercury, and selenium in flue gas desulfurization (FGD) waters and ash basin waters; and aluminum, copper, lead, zinc, and oil and grease in storm waters.
