The development of novel technologies for vehicle emission reductions, particularly greenhouse gases (GHGs), and fuel economy improvement is of paramount importance due to increased regulation in these areas. Southern Research offers extensive capabilities and resources focused on the development and evaluation of vehicle emission reduction technologies and clean, alternative, and renewable fuels.
We have developed an innovative emissions and fuel economy evaluation capability focused on the testing of technologies and transportation systems in use, in their actual real-world applications. Moreover, our innovative Clean Energy Development Center features a unique energy development laboratory and an experienced technical team that assists developer and government clients in evaluating and optimizing technologies and preparing them for commercial application. Scientists at Southern Research develop, produce, test, and evaluate biomass products for conversion to liquid, solid, or gaseous fuels.
