Wound Healing

Southern Research provides assays and animal models to evaluate the effects of compounds and biological agents on the wound healing process.

In vitro assays
  • Proliferation and migration assays with various cell types, such as kerationcytes and fibroblasts
  • Cell-based angiogenesis assays, human endothelial cell proliferation, migration, and tube-formation
  • Human endothelial progenitor cell (EPC) proliferation, migration/invasion, and tube-formation
  • 3-D co-culture assay system for cell-cell interactions
In vivo models
  • Mouse model including bacterial infections
  • Angiogenesis in vivo models, such as the chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) which includes quantitative analysis of new blood vessel formation and Matrigel plug assay in mice with quantization of microvessel density (MVD)

Southern Research scientists work closely with our clients to develop assays and models based on specific research needs.
